Techno is alive and well in the Argentine capital city. Joining hotspots like Mint and Pacha, the city recently landed an outpost of Crobar with its sibling clubs in Miami and Chicago. Unlike its American counterparts that lure a fringe crowd of electronic revelers for weekend theme parties, techno pretty much rules Argentina nightlife with few other musical genres aside from tango and rare pop night at clubs like Museum.

The warehouse-style dance club is conveniently located in Palermo, much closer than its rivals, in a neon-lit building flanked with palm trees and illuminated Cyprus bushes. The crowd is a mostly local contingent of cliquey under-40 revelers looking to mingle, flirt and dance away the weekend to sweaty sets of electronic house music. Inside is a steel-and-leather dance palace of space-age architecture with balcony lounge, 1000-person dance floor and more strobe-lit fog than you've seen since 1988.
Tips
Attire is never more than a baggy T-shirt and designer denim even when the winter weather dips below 60-degrees.
